466. Deputy Alan Kelly asked the Minister for Education the full-year cost for a post-primary school teacher post. [36327/23]

I wish to advise the post primary school sector are paid in accordance with the salary scale for Post Primary teachers.

The average annual cost to the Department for a Post Primary teacher is €73,270.  This figure includes provision for Employers PRSI and substitution costs.
