Deputy Ivana Bacik asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage if he and his Department were represented at each meeting of the senior officials group in respect of the Government’s response to the war in Ukraine; if not, the number of meetings at which his Departmental officials were absent; and the reason for their absence. The Humanitarian Senior Officials Group, which is chaired by the Department of the Taoiseach, has met 75 times since it was established in March 2022. My Department has been represented at each meeting, which reflects my commitment to supporting the whole of Government humanitarian response to Ukraine.
