Students addressing the Committee on Public Petitions

A group of secondary students addressed the Joint Committee on Public Petitions today. The students submitted a petition to the committee on adding 30 extra minutes to the junior certificate English exam and were invited to discuss the matter with the committee.

The students invited to speak to the committee are Ms. Tara O’Sullivan, Ms. Adrianne Ward, Ms. Ellen McKimm and Ms. Faye Dolan.

“This is the first occasion that this Committee has invited petitioners to appear before it,” said Committee Chair, Seán Sherlock TD. “Tara and her secondary school classmates put considerable effort and time into crafting a petition which speaks for many school-goers around the country."
