The Oireachtas Friends of Science and Technology today hosted an online talk by the EPA on Irish people's attitude to climate change.

Scientists from the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) presented the findings of their research project, Climate Change in the Irish Mind. The project is a partnership with Yale University’s Programme on Climate Change Communications (YPCCC). It researched the attitudes, behaviours, policy preferences and beliefs of the Irish public to climate change.

The project is being facilitated by the National Dialogue on Climate Action (NDCA) in its role as the hub for understanding public climate change knowledge, attitudes, policy preferences, and behaviour, and the underlying psychological and cultural factors that influence the public.

The Oireachtas Friends of Science is a cross-party group of TDs and Senators who aim to help the Houses of the Oireachtas engage with scientific research.
