President Ursula von der Leyen of the European Commission is to address a joint sitting of the Houses of the Oireachtas on 1 December as part of a visit to Dublin.
During her visit to Ireland President von der Leyen is due to meet President Michael D. Higgins and the Taoiseach, Deputy Micheál Martin. She is also due to receive the Sutherland Leadership Award.
She will become the second President of the European Commission to address the Oireachtas, with Jean-Claude Juncker having done so in 2018.
