Joint Committee on Health to meet to get an update on the progress on the construction of the New Children’s Hospital

The Oireachtas Joint Committee on Health, chaired by Cathaoirleach Deputy Seán Crowe, will meet to get an update on the construction of the New Children’s Hospital tomorrow, Wednesday, 5th of October 2022. This follows on from a visit to the site of the new hospital by members of the Committee on Health earlier this year.

The Committee will hear from representatives from:

·       National Paediatric Hospital Development Board

·       Department of Health

·       Heath Service Executive

Speaking ahead of the meeting, Cathaoirleach Deputy Seán Crowe said “The aim of this meeting is to receive an up-to-date progress report on the building of the New Children’s Hospital. The Committee looks forward to gaining an understanding of the remaining work to be done on the hospital, and an estimated timeline for its opening.”

The Joint Committee on Health has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
