Ceann Comhairle Seán Barrett, TD, will present the National Bravery Awards, Comhairle na Mire Gaile in Farmleigh House on Friday, 25th November at 1.45pm.

The National Bravery Awards were established in 1947 to provide suitable recognition by the State of deeds of bravery. The Council, which is chaired by the Ceann Comhairle, includes the Cathaoirleach of Seanad Éireann, the Chairman of the Irish Red Cross, the Lord Mayor of Dublin, the Lord Mayor of Cork, the Director of the Association of City & County Councils and the Garda Commissioner.

At the ceremony in Farmleigh House next Friday, the Ceann Comhairle, Seán Barrett, will present awards in recognition of outstanding acts of bravery.
