Anne Ferris, TD elected Vice-Chair of Committee on Justice, Defence and Equality

Deputy Ferris said: “I would like to thank my Oireachtas colleagues for electing me to the Vice-Chair position. Since I was elected, I have always wanted to serve on the Committee on Justice, Defence and Equality and it is an honour to hold this important position on the Committee. This Committee is an important forum for Oireachtas members to provide a meaningful input into a number of very important policy and legislative areas. I’m looking forward to working with all of my colleagues on this Committee and with the relevant Ministers to ensure the Committee works in a true spirit of partnership and co-operation to inform debate and shape policy in the areas under its remit.”
