Education Committee to discuss future role of guidance counselling and modern languages

The Oireachtas Committee on Jobs, Social Protection and Education will discuss the future of role of guidance counselling in secondary schools and the future of the Modern Languages in Primary Schools Initiative with representatives from the Institute of Guidance Counsellors and the Modern Languages in Primary Schools Initiative at its meeting tomorrow, 1st February.

Chairman of the Committee Deputy Damien English said: “Tomorrow, we will have an opportunity to get the views of Institute of Guidance Counsellors and the Modern Languages in Primary Schools Initiative on planned changes in the education system.
Members of the Committee will also have an opportunity to raise any issues on these  matters.”

This meeting will take place on Wednesday, 1st February in Committee Room 3, Leinster House 2000 at 9.30am.
