Minister for Education to attend Committee on Jobs, Social Protection and Education ahead of EU Council of Ministers meeting

Minister for Education Ruairi Quinn, TD will attend the meeting of the Oireachtas Committee on Jobs, Social Protection and Education tomorrow, 2nd May.

Minister Quinn will brief the Committee ahead of the next EU Council of Ministers on Education, Youth, Culture and Sport meeting on 10th and 11th May.

Following the meeting with the Minister, officials from the Department of Education and Skills and the Teaching Council will come before the Committee to discuss concerns raised by the Ombudsman for Children regarding public administration in Ireland.

This meeting will start at 9.30am on Wednesday, May 2nd in Committee Room 3, Leinster House 2000.
