PAC to launch reports on National Aquatic Centre and the Irish Red Cross

16 May 2012, 15:29

The Public Accounts Committee will launch a Report on VAT Costs on the National Aquatic Centre and a Report on the Irish Red Cross on Thursday 17th May 2012 at 2.15pm am in the AV Room, Leinster House, Dublin 2.

The reports make a number of important recommendations and observations on both issues.

Committee Chairman John McGuinness said: “The PAC report on the charging of VAT on the National Aquatic Centre, while dealing with a narrow issue about whether VAT could be charged on a lease, raises issues that have broader relevance for State bodies who become involved in litigation. I also welcome the publication of the PAC Report on the Irish Red Cross which addresses issues of corporate governance and financial control in that organisation.”
