The Joint Committee on Environment, Transport, Culture and the Gaeltacht will launch its report on Water Provision on Thursday, 7th June 2012 at 1pm in the AV Room, Leinster House, Dublin 2.
he Chairman of the Committee, Ciarán Lynch TD, said: “Water Provision in Ireland is at a critical stage. Ireland needs a long-term sustainable supply of clean water for domestic use, for healthy living, for developmental and recreational use. The resource is limited and failure to take action will have significant societal and environmental consequences. It is in this context that the Joint Committee will present this Report following a series of meetings with key stakeholders in the water sector.”
