Committee on Justice, Defence and Equality invites contributions shape Criminal Justice (Corruption) Bill

4 Jul 2012, 18:35

The Joint Oireachtas Committee Justice, Defence and Equality is inviting written submissions from interested groups or individuals in on the Heads of the Criminal Justice (Corruption) Bill 2012.

Committee Chairman David Stanton says: “The legislation being proposed consolidates and reforms anti-corruption law, replacing seven overlapping corruption Acts stretching back to Victorian times.

“The Committee invites submissions on the Heads of the Bill to allow interested groups and individuals feed into this important piece of legislation.”

The Committee will consider these written submissions and may decide to invite a number of contributors to public hearings should it feel that this is necessary. The closing date for receipt of submissions is Friday 11 August 2012 at 5 p.m.
