Finance Committee to continue discussions on Credit Union Bill

The Oireachtas Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure & Reform will resume its discussions on the Draft General Scheme of the Credit Union Bill 2012 at its meeting tomorrow, Thursday, 20th September 2012.

As part of its public consultation, the Committee will meet with range of stakeholders and interested parties in Committee Room 4, Leinster House from 10am tomorrow morning.

Committee Chairman Alex White TD commented: “Tomorrow we will meet with a wide range of stakeholders as part of consultation process on the scheme of the bill. Ahead of the formal drafting of the bill, our meeting will provide us with an opportunity to receive input from key interested parties on the proposed credit union legislation and also allow members of the Committee to tease out any issues, proposals or concerns they may have and enable us to provide meaningful input into the legislation.”

This meeting will start in Committee Room 4, Leinster House at 10am on Thursday, 20th September.
