The Oireachtas Select sub-Committee on Education and Skills will tomorrow consider the Further Education and Training Bill 2013 with Minister of State Ciarán Cannon TD.

Committee Chair Joanna Tuffy TD says: “This meeting will allow our sub-Committee consider this important piece of legislation, which provides for the establishment of SOLAS, the new Further Education and Training Authority. The new body will be responsible for co-ordinating and funding programmes in the sector across the country. We look forward to engaging with the Minister of State with responsibility in the area Ciaran Cannon TD on the Bill, which is at the third stage of the five-stage legislative process.”
