2 Jul 2013, 12:49

The Committee on Justice, Defence and Equality will meet with Noel Lappin, the Chairman Designate of the Private Security Authority tomorrow, Wednesday, 3rd July 2013.

Committee Chairman David Stanton, TD, said: “The Private Security Authority, which was established under the Private Security Services Act 2004, is the statutory body with responsibility for licensing and regulating the private security industry in Ireland. The meeting will serve to contribute to transparency in appointments to State Boards and a transcript of the discussion will be sent to the Minister forJustice for his consideration in the appointment process.”
