You are invited to attend, or send a representative, to the launch of a Report on the Registration of the Title of Architect by the Committee on Environment, Culture and the Gaeltacht. It takes place on Wednesday 17th July 2013 at 11.45am in the A/V Room of Leinster House.
Michael McCarthy, Cathaoirleach of the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Environment, Culture and the Gaeltacht, said: “When a state starts to protect the use of the term ‘Architect’ and confines it to those on the architects’ register, issues can arise relating to the position of existing self-trained practitioners, colloquially termed ‘grandfathers’. This report makes a number of observations and recommendations on the registration of the title of architect in Ireland.”
