Cathaoirleach of the Seanad Senator Paddy Burke has summoned the Seanad for a sitting on Tuesday 20 August, commencing at 10 a.m.

The sitting takes place on foot of a request received by the Cathaoirleach yesterday from twenty Senators in accordance with Seanad Éireann Standing Order 22(3A) and in accordance with Section 4(2)(b) of the European Communities Act 1972, as amended.
The motion to be debated is as follows:
\"That Seanad Éireann resolves that Statutory Instrument Number 325 of 2012 - European Union (Quality and Safety of Human Organs Intended for Transplantation) Regulations 2012 be annulled.\"
Proceedings will be broadcast on Oireachtas UPC Channel 207 and can be followed live on the Oireachtas website.
