Sub-Committee on Global Taxation to resume hearings

The Joint sub-Committee on Global Taxation will resume its hearings tomorrow, Tuesday, 17th September 2013 when it will receive a presentation on the subject of base erosion and profit shifting from Frank Barry, Professor of International Business and Development, Trinity College Dublin.

Sub-Committee Vice Chairman Liam Twomey said: “Tomorrow we will resume our hearings where we will examine the global corporate/multinational taxation architecture and Ireland’s relationship with that tax architecture. The sub-Committee will hear evidence tomorrow from Frank Barry, Professor of International Business and Development, Trinity College Dublin, a recognised academic expert on global tax matters. On Wednesday, 18th September, the Committee will hear from officials from the Department of Finance and from the Office of the Revenue Commissioners.”

This meeting will start in Committee Room 1 at 2pm on Tuesday, 17th September 2013.
