Reminder: Finance Committee seeks submissions on Budget 2015

6 Jun 2014, 10:03

The Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform is inviting written submissions from interested groups and individuals on Budget 2015.

Committee Chairman Ciaran Lynch said: “The Committee would welcome submissions on the forthcoming Budget which informs its consideration of broader issues of macro-budgetary strategy, balance and impact. The Committee expects that submissions which are focused on specific social and economic sectors will seek to contribute to our consideration of that broader context. For example, where submissions propose increases in expenditure or reductions in taxation, it would be helpful if contributors were to suggest, at a minimum even in terms of general principle, ways in which the cost of their proposals might be met. We will consider any written submissions received and may decide to invite a number of contributors to public hearings.”

Submissions should be addressed to the Clerk to the Joint Committee and received not later than 6 pm on Monday, 16th June, 2014.  Submissions may be made by e-mail to fincom@oireachtas.ie or by post to –
