The Select Committee on Children and Youth Affairs will tomorrow meet with Dr. Niall Muldoon, Ombudsman for Children, to the discuss the Strategic Plan 2016-2018 for the Ombudsman for Children's Office.
The meeting will commence at 9.00 am in Committee Room 1 tomorrow, Wednesday, 20 July 2016.
Committee Chairman, Jim Daly TD, said “We look forward to hearing from Dr. Muldoon on the priorities which feature in the strategic plan for the Ombudsman for Children's Office. The important work of the Ombudsman for Children cannot be understated and this is a welcome opportunity to meet with Dr. Muldoon and to hear his vision, objectives and plans for the future.
“In particular, the public consultation process which the Ombudsman for Children’s Office engaged in will no doubt have shaped the strategic plan. We look forward to hearing more on this, especially the input of those who the Ombudsman represents, children themselves.”
