Future of Healthcare Committee to discuss health service reform with HSE

The Committee on the Future of Healthcare will meet with Tony O’Brien, Director General, HSE and Liam Woods, National Director, Acute Hospital Division, HSE tomorrow, Wednesday, 30 November 2016 as part of its hearings on health service reform.

Chair of the Committee, Roisin Shortall, says: “Tomorrow we will continue with our series of engagements on health service reform which will help the Committee set-out a long term strategy for the future of healthcare in Ireland. It is important that we hear from the organisation that provides public health and social care services in this country. We’re looking forward to receiving an update from HSE Director General Tony O’Brien and HSE National Director of the Acute Hospital Division on the current provision of health services, relevant data about budget allocations across different services and the rationale for the current organisational structures.  

This meeting will take place in Committee Room 4, Leinster House from 9 am on Wednesday, 30 November 2016.
