  Justice & Equality Committee seeks additional information from Garda Commissioner

 

The Joint Committee on Justice and Equality has today, Wednesday 5 April 2017, issued correspondence to the Garda Commissioner seeking answers to a list of 27 questions arising out of last Thursday’s engagement with the Commissioner on the issues of the false recording of breath test data and wrongful convictions on foot of the failure to issue fixed charge notices.

The Committee Chairman, Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin T.D., has indicated to Commissioner O’Sullivan the Committee’s expectation of comprehensive replies by noon on Tuesday, 11 April 2017.
