The Committee on Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht will discuss the National Archives (Amendment) Bill 2017 at its meeting tomorrow, Thursday, 7 November 2017.
The purpose of the Bill is to provide for the phased implementation of a 20 Year Rule for the transfer of departmental records to the National Archives. This is done by way of amending the National Archives Act 1986.
Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Josepha Madigan TD will attend the meeting.
This meeting will start at 1.15pm, tomorrow, 7 December 2017 in Committee Room 1, Leinster House. Committee proceedings can be viewed live here.
