PAC to resume hearings on Third Level financial statements

Appearing before the Committee are:

Officials from Dept. of Education and Skills    
Representatives from the Higher Education Authority    
Representatives from University College Cork    
Representatives from Cork Institute of Technology  

Chairman of the Committee Sean Fleming TD said: “Last July, the Committee reported on its examination of Financial Statements in the Third-level sector.Tomorrow we will be following through on specific matters in the education and training sector when we meet with representatives from Cork Institute of Technology and University College Cork regarding their financial statements. We are also reviewing the financial statements of the Higher Education Authority, which is responsible for the strategic development of the Irish higher education and research system. We will be keen to get an update on developments in the sector since we last met with them. Officials from the Department of Education and Skills will also attend the meeting.”

The meeting on Wednesday will start at 9am in Committee Room 3, Leinster House and proceedings will be viewed here.
