The Committee on Justice and Equality will meet with Minister for Justice and Equality Charles Flanagan TD on Wednesday, 13 June to discuss a range of issues including Garda oversight and Garda homicide data.

Committee Chairman Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin TD said: “The Committee will engage with Minister Flanagan on a range of issues at our meeting. We will revisit our report on Garda Oversight and Accountability published in December 2016 and look at progress in implementing the Committee’s recommendations. We will also discuss issues surrounding the recording and classification of Garda homicide figures.”

The meeting will take place at 9am in Committee Room 2, Leinster House.
