Irish Language Committee welcomes decision to hold competition through Irish for appointment of clerical officers

The Committee also welcomed the decision by the Service that it intends to hold a similar competition for the appointment of Executive Officers later in the year and similar competitions for the appointment of Higher Executive Officers, Assistant Principal Officers and Principal Officers (depending on the supply) after that.

Catherine Connolly TD, Chair of the Committee said that the Committee wished to thank the Department of Public Service and Reform and the Public Appointments Commission for these positive decisions.  The Committee welcomes these decisions as a first step in the process of providing public services bilingually.
