The Joint Committee on Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht will consider in detail the National Famine Commemoration Day Bill 2017 on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 1:30 p.m.
The Private Members Bill seeks to provide in legislation for the establishment of a National Famine Commemoration Day.
Scheduled witnesses include
- Colm Brophy TD, sponsor of the Bill;
- Michael Blanch, who has lobbied for a National Famine Commemoration Day, and
- Officials from the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
