The Select Committee on Budgetary Oversight will discuss the potential impact of a disorderly Brexit and other fiscal risks with Central Bank of Ireland economists on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m.
Scheduled witnesses include
- Mark Cassidy, Director of Economics and Statistics
- John Flynn, Head of Irish Economic Analysis
- Thomas Conefrey, Senior Economist
“The Central Bank’s latest Quarterly Bulletin includes an exploration of the potential economic impact of a no-deal Brexit,” said Committee Chairman Colm Brophy TD. “This meeting also provides an important opportunity for the Committee to have a focussed discussion with the Central Bank about broader emerging external fiscal risks as well as the Bank’s latest data and analyses on Brexit.”
