The Seanad Special Select Committee on the Withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union will discuss the transport implications of Brexit for Ireland tomorrow (Wednesday) at 2pm in Committee Room 4, Leinster House.

Senators will hear from the following representatives of the transport sector:
The National Transport Authority – Anne Graham, Chief Executive Officer, and Anneliese Jones, Public Transport Regulation Manager;
Dublin Airport Authority – Niall MacCarthy, DAA Executive Brexit Lead and MD Cork Airport;
Iarnród Éireann – Billy Gilpin, Director of Train Operations, Iarnród Éireann, and Glenn Carr, General Manager, Rosslare Europort;
The Freight Transport Association Ireland – Aidan Flynn, General Manager.
Speaking ahead of Wednesday’s meeting, Committee Chairman Senator Neale Richmond said: “With just over six weeks to go until the UK leaves the EU, and with the prospect of no-deal Brexit looming, it is vital we hear what it means for Ireland. The Committee therefore welcomes this opportunity to discuss the implications for our cross-border road and rail links, airports, ports and freight operators with the representatives of the transport sector."
The meeting in Committee Room 4 can be viewed live here.
Committee proceedings can also be viewed on the move, through the Houses of the Oireachtas Smartphone App, available for Apple and Android devices.
