The Joint Committee on Agriculture, Food and the Marine will meet tomorrow (Tuesday) with Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) at 3.30pm in Committee Room 1 of Leinster House.
Deputies and Senators will hear an update on operational matters and the corporate plans for the horse racing industry from the HRI representatives.
Speaking ahead of the meeting, Committee Chairman Pat Deering TD said: “Horse breeding and racing is a very significant industry in Ireland, generating €2 billion in revenues annually and supporting 29,000 jobs. Members look forward to hearing this latest update from the Horse Racing Ireland representatives.”
