The Joint Committee on Transport and Communications Networks will meet tomorrow when it meets to discuss Review to Renew: the public consultation element of the National Development Plan.
Tomorrow’s meeting will be streamed live on Oireachtas TV and begins at 1pm in Committee Room 3, when the National Transport Authority (NTA) and Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) appear.
Speaking in advance of the meeting, Committee Chair Kieran O’Donnell, TD, said: “The current review of the National Development Plan runs until later on in February, and with this in mind we will discuss many aspects of our lives, but primarily those associated with public transport.
“The National Development Plan 2018-2027 (NDP) sets out a 10-year programme of capital investment aimed at upgrading Ireland’s infrastructure, enhancing economic capacity and promoting balanced regional development, and these are themes and topics which the committee has actively worked on during this Dáil term.
“This is the first in a series of meetings the Committee intends to have on the topic throughout the month of February, and the submission which the Committee will make will feed into the overall review of the NDP.”
