The Joint Committee on Health will discuss the role of ventilation in achieving better health outcomes in tackling the Covid-19 virus when it meets in Leinster House, Committee Room 2 tomorrow, Wednesday, 19 May at 9.30am.
Dr Orla Hegarty from UCD’s School of Architecture and Simon Jones, the Director of Aereco Ltd are scheduled to appear virtually before the Committee.
Committee Cathaoirleach, Seán Crowe TD said: “As restrictions are eased and the vaccination roll-out continues many people will be considering a return to work or will be visiting loved ones again in different settings or socialising in various venues.
“The Committee welcomes this engagement with experts on ventilation on how air circulation in buildings including our own homes, schools, hospitals, nursing homes and offices can be of benefit to our health and in tackling Covid-19.”
