Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform and Taoiseach to meet with Central Bank of Ireland and Ulster Bank

The Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform and Taoiseach will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, 8 December, for separate engagements with representatives of the Central Bank of Ireland and Ulster Bank.

Speaking ahead of the meeting at 1.30pm in Committee Room 3 of Leinster House, Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy John McGuinness said: “In the first part of the meeting the Committee will discuss insurance issues with officials from the Central Bank. This will be followed by a discussion with senior management from Ulster Bank on the commitments the bank made previously to the Committee around their planned withdrawal from the Irish market and how this will be managed in an orderly manner.”

The Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform and Taoiseach has 13 Members, nine from the Dáil and four from the Seanad.
