Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform and Taoiseach to meet with Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland

The Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform and Taoiseach will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, 30 March, with representatives of the Central Bank of Ireland led by the Governor, Gabriel Makhlouf, and Deputy Governor, Sharon Donnery.

Speaking ahead of the meeting at 1.30pm in Committee Room 3 of Leinster House, Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy John McGuinness said: “The Committee welcomes this opportunity to meet with Mr Makhlouf, Ms Donnery and their colleagues. We look forward to a wide-ranging discussion on topics including the Central Bank’s strategic plan, banking matters, insurance issues, the Judicial Council Bill, credit unions, and related matters.”

The Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform and Taoiseach has 13 Members, nine from the Dáil and four from the Seanad.

The meeting in Committee Room 3 can be viewed live on Oireachtas TV.
