Committee of Public Accounts to discuss 2020 Appropriation Account and C&AG’s reports with Department of Education

The Committee of Public Accounts (PAC) will meet tomorrow, Thursday, 7 July, to examine the 2020 Appropriation Account – Vote 26 (Education) and chapters from the C&AG’s reports with officials from the Department of Education.

The meeting at 9.30am in Committee Room 3 of Leinster House will be joined by the Comptroller and Auditor General, Mr Seamus McCarthy, and officials from the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform.

During the afternoon session, beginning at 1.30pm, the Committee will consider correspondence and other business of the Committee.

Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Brian Stanley said: “The Committee welcomes this opportunity to meet with officials from the Department of Education to discuss their 2020 accounts and the C&AG’s reports. Members look forward to a wide-ranging discussion, including on the purchase of schools sites, management of the schools estate and related matters.”
