Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform and Taoiseach to discuss Banking Issues with AIB, Bank of Ireland and PTSB

The Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform and Taoiseach will meet at 1.30pm tomorrow, Wednesday, 14 September, to discuss Banking Issues with the three Irish banks.

The meeting in Committee Room 1 of Leinster House will be split into three sessions:

  • 1.30pm-4pm – Representatives of AIB;
  • 5pm-6pm – Representatives of Bank of Ireland; and
  • 6pm-7pm – Representatives of Permanent TSB.

Committee Cathaoirleach, Deputy John McGuinness, said: “The Committee welcomes this opportunity to meet with representatives of AIB, Bank of Ireland and Permanent TSB to discuss the provision of banking services including the availability of branches and ATM services. The Committee notes that traditional banking services are integral to local communities and businesses and wish to discuss the future of such services with the three banks.

The Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform and Taoiseach has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
