Joint Committee on Environment and Climate Action to meet with Commission for Regulation of Utilities

Speaking ahead of the meeting, Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Brian Leddin said: “The Commission for Regulation of Utilities is Ireland’s independent water and energy regulator and its role is to protect the public interest in water, energy and energy safety. The Committee has an oversight role with the CRU and we look forward to discussing a wide range of matters with its representatives.”

The Joint Committee on Environment and Climate Action has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
