The Joint Committee on Justice meets for engagement with the Vice-President of the European Commission for Values and Transparency, on the European Commission’s Rule of Law Report 2022

 The Justice Committee chaired by Deputy James Lawless TD meets tomorrow, Tuesday 11th October 2022 in Committee Room 1 at 3pm for engagement with Ms Věra Jourová, Vice-President of the European Commission for Values and Transparency, on the European Commission’s Rule of Law Report 2022, and the rule of law situation in Ireland. 

Speaking ahead of the meeting Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy James Lawless TD said “following on from our recent meeting with European Parliament Members, this meeting is a great opportunity for our Committee to hear from the experiences of the Vice-President of the European Commission for Values and Transparency. We look forward to examining in-depth the Commission’s Rule of Law Report 2022 and also to gain the insights she has on the Irish law situation.”
