Enterprise Committee to discuss the cost of living, the minimum wage increase and the Low Pay Commission report with ICTU

The Joint Committee on Enterprise, Trade and Employment will meet on Wednesday October 12th to discuss the cost of living - minimum wage increase and Low Pay Commission report with representatives from ICTU.

The meeting will take place in Committee Room 1 of Leinster House at 9:30am.

Dr Laura Bambrick, Head of Social Policy and Employment Affairs at ICTU and Industrial Officer with ICTU Liam Berney will address the meeting.


Speaking ahead of the meeting, Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Maurice Quinlivan said: “We welcome the opportunity to meet with representatives from ICTU to discuss the cost of living, increase to the minimum wage and the Low Pay Commission report following the recent announcement of Budget 2023."


“Following a similar discussion with representatives from the Mandate trade union last month, we look forward to hearing the views of representatives from ICTU and to discuss the impact of the rising cost of living and inflation on workers.”
