Joint Committee on Agriculture, Food and the Marine to discuss horticultural peat shortages and impact of local emissions

The Joint Committee on Agriculture, Food and the Marine will meet this evening for separate sessions to discuss horticultural peat shortages and local emissions.

The meeting at 5.30pm in Committee Room 3 of Leinster House will be split into two sessions:

5.30pm-7pm – Impact of Peat Shortages on the Horticultural Industry (resumed) with Mr Séamus Boland of Irish Rural Link; and

7pm-8.30pm – Environmental impact of local emissions with Mr Dan Brennan.

The Joint Committee on Agriculture, Food and the Marine, chaired by Deputy Jackie Cahill, has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.

The meeting in Committee Room 3 can be viewed live on Oireachtas TV.
