Statement by Ceann Comhairle and Chairperson of the Houses of the Oireachtas Commission following meeting of 19th June 2023

Speaking following today’s meeting of the Houses of the Oireachtas Commission, Ceann Comhairle and Chairperson of the Commission, Seán Ó Fearghaíl TD said “At today’s meeting of the Houses of the Oireachtas Commission, we received an oral briefing on the recent breach of security at Leinster House. As a result of that breach, a review of current security arrangements for the Parliamentary campus is currently underway. Upon completion, it is the intention of the Commission to address and implement any issues identified.”

The Houses of the Oireachtas Commission will provide further updates when the review is completed.
