The Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science meets tomorrow, Tuesday 4th July at 11am in Committee Room 1 for a roundtable discussion on the Education Needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students and will then receive a briefing on the Education Needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students from the Department of Education.
The meeting in 2 sessions will hear from:
Session 1 – Roundtable discussion on the Education Needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students
11am – 12:15pm (approx.)
· Representatives from Chime
· Representatives from Irish Deaf Society (IDS)
· Representatives from Holy Family School for the Deaf
Session 2 – Briefing on the Education Needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
12:15pm – 1pm (approx.)
· Officials from the Department of Education
