NON-MINISTERIAL MOTIONS. - SALARIES OF MINISTERS.
CATHAL BRUGHA (Waterford Co.) moved:—
"Ministers who devote their whole time to Ministerial duties shall henceforth receive £500 per annum; the Assistant Minister for defence shall also receive £500 per annum, the Directors of Departments shall receive £400 per annum."
S. MAC DONNACHADHA (Tipperary North) seconded the motion.
SEAMUS BREATHNACH (Cork City) moved as an addendum:
"That an allowance of £250 per annum be given to each member of Dáil Eireann to enable him to discharge his duties."
The proposer of the motion refused to accept the addendum.
SEAMUS BREATHNACH agreed that notice of his motion should be given.
The original motion was put and agreed to.
