CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. - RAILWAY PORTER'S ARREST.

To ask the Minister for Defence if he can state the reason for the arrest of Joseph Costigan, Porter, Great Southern and Western Railway Company, Portlaoighise, on 8th February, 1923, at Clonkeen, and seeing that Costigan denies having been associated in any way with Irregulars, and is willing to sign the usual form of undertaking, if he will undertake to recommend his immediate release from Portlaoighise Prison.

Mr. Costigan refuses to sign the usual form of undertaking. His release is not, therefore, being considered.
