Vol. 3 No. 20

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ ORAL ANSWERS. ] - BRITISH MILITARY REPRISAL.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that Mrs. Kate Farrell, Willbrook, Coolorty, Edgeworthstown, secured a decree at the Longford Quarter Sessions, in June, 1921, for the sum of £450, in respect of her husband, Michael Farrell, who was shot as a reprisal by British military; further, whether he is aware that final decrees, secured before February 12th, 1922, do not come within the scope of the Compensation (Personal Injuries) Committee, and, as Mrs. Farrell is destitute, that this be favourably considered.

The facts are as stated in the question. Investigation of this case has reached an advanced stage, and it is hoped that the decree will be discharged at an early date.
