Vol. 6 No. 5

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - HOSPITAL AT BANDON (CO. CORK).

asked the Minister for Local Government whether his attention has been drawn to the urgent need of an hospital in Bandon, Co. Cork, and whether he will favourably consider the request of the Bandon Guardians and the workers of the town, that the Fever Hospital be rebuilt for the purpose of providing hospital accommodation for the sick poor of the district?

Representations have been made on this subject. The question of adopting a scheme for the amalgamation of Unions in County Cork is at present being considered by the County Council, who may submit a scheme at an early date specifying the institutions to be provided in the county. It is suggested that the local people concerned should bring their views in the matter before the County Council.
