Vol. 7 No. 16

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - EX-SOLDIER'S CLAIM FOR CLOTHING.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that Volunteer James Tidd, The Commons, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, Army No. 33084, Engineers Corps, Kildare Barracks, who attested on the 14th February, 1923, and was discharged on the 12th March, 1924, did not receive any uniform during the period of his service; whether he claims a refund for purchased civilian clothing in lieu of uniform; whether he sent in receipts for same, as requested by the Quartermaster, and whether enquiries will be made with a view to settlement of the claim.

Mr. Tidd's claim is at present under consideration, and it is expected that an early decision will be arrived at.
