Vol. 7 No. 23

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - RATHDOWNEY (LEIX) MAN'S DEATH—PENSION CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Defence if he has received an application for payment of a pension on behalf of Daniel Spencer, Aughma cart, Rathdowney, Leix, who was killed while on active service at Durrow Leix, on March 25th, 1923, and if he will expedite a decision in this case, in view of the fact that his mother is in very poor circumstances.

A form of application for pension or gratuity was received from Mrs. Spencer on the 21st ultimo. The case is under investigation, and it is hoped to reach a decision on it at an early date.
