Vol. 9 No. 7

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - BLIND PENSION (KILRUSH).

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state why a blind pension was withheld from John Foley, Stewart Street, Kilrush, between the dates of application, July 10th, 1923, and April 1st, 1924.

The medical evidence in this case showed that the applicant did not fulfil the statutory condition of blindness prior to the 1st April, 1924. A pension could not, therefore, have been legally granted to him for the period from 10th July, 1923, to the 1st April, 1924.
